This Royal Delft Blue Wall Plate is a beautiful find from 1950's.
It shows Otto Eerelman's famous bridal and groom scene "The Wedding Couple". The scene unfolds with a majestic horse decked with bells and plumes! Its drawing a sleigh over the snow covered ground. The bride is in a hooded coat. Behind her is the groom with one hand with the reins and the other with a whip.
Otto Eerelman was a Dutch painter; best known for his depictions of dogs and horses. He was also a court painter and made several portraits of Wilhelmina, as princess and queen.
